I agree with above. You definetly need a clean double toe before starting double axel. You also need to be able to do a very large/open axel to ensure you are able to give yourself enough height. You should start practicing on the ground and on the harness with your coach before trying it without, that will ensure proper technique. You wont be able to land it in a month, (most likely) it takes most people a long time before they land it consistantly clean. Usually when you start learning double axel, you will start triple salchow at the same time. Triple salchow is usually a little easier for some people. I landed my triple salchow clean before my double axel. But everyone is different. Your coach should instruct you through all of this.
